I have
160 CDs now, will send soon. Pictures of the lot are on the way.
Working on a site re-design.

Y9 from No
More AOL CDs NJ (New Jersey...that place in USA) told me to pick up my
act and pretend to be busy. So inturn I updated the local tally. The
update below was writen on that date, just never put online...kind of
pointless...and the reason why for Y9's yelling.
Another 8
CDs from Scollins plus a $2 postage donation. Total sitting on 149 CDs.
INCENTIVE: When the local tally reaches 150 CDs, I shall ship them to
the USA. You know what to do.
21 February 2003
New year
(almost by 2 months)...not a single update. But still here! A trickle
of
CDs are still coming in. Two from Claire (VIC). Martin from the
UK...felt sorry for No More AOL CDs Australia having the lowest CD
tally, one from him. Lastly five from Russell in VIC and one from an
unknown sender. Further news new No
More AOL CDs Canada alliance member.
20 November 2002
A total of
another 24 CDs made the trip. Bringing the local tally to 130. Thanks
to
Jackie + Jim (and the additional $2 for the overseas postage) and Evan
who noted that the CDs were his contribution from the past four years.
Im not to sure what that means either :)

November 2002
Some more positive publicity has appeared in recent days. The
Australian IT featured a story called AOL
CDs returned in protest, with
mention of the global alliance. Since the story, a trickle or CDs found
there way. 14 from a single sender in VIC. 2 from Karpoza and another 2
by Arjuna (who also included a $2 donation). The local tally has hit
its first century.

November 2002
A boost in the recent weeks of the No More AOL CDs Alliance. Our
friends in USA manage to
cook up a interview with CNN (featured online). Locally this brought
more hits to the site, and on the week mentioned again in Overclockers Australia. A
huge contribution from Germany...of all places. Someone sent 50 AOL and
Compuserve disk to my tiny little PO Box. I thought this was donation
from the German Alliance to boost Australia's tally. But it was not to
be, someone just didnt see 'Germany'
anywhere on this
site whilst writing down the address.
AOL Australia (well someone visiting aol.com.au) requested a free CD to
be sent to 'Dr Nomore Aolcds'
to the listed address. Im sorry, but you have the wrong address, but
I'll hold onto it if he/she comes knocking.

Plenty of new arrivals have appeared over the weeks. Thanks to
Jonesy, Marky, Alison, and Dark Screamz. Dark Screamz actually came
up with a inventive way to make you mark
on
the CD's.

Another one in the mail today all I know about the sender is that
he/she is from NSW. But they also left a very distinct message on the
shiny side of the CD: The worst Internet experience in my LIFE!

August 2002
About three weeks ago I did a telephone interview with a journalist
from the Sydney Morning Herald, and I got my picture done to! Today
the article appeared in Spike (back page) section titled Ejected,
rejected disks won't die. The online
version (scroll down to the second story) doesn't have my photo in it
*shucks*. Since the word of the crusade has conquered the print media...what
next?

August 2002
Today the mail man was espcially nice and placed 9 unwanted AOL CDs
in my little PO Box. Eight of which where from KKKT (NSW) and one from
Kase (VIC). Kase located No More AOL CDs Australia from a link that was
featured last week on Overclockers
Australia.
29 July

The word of the campaign was spread further today by the posting
of
Dan Warne from Whirlpool.net.au.
A link was featured on an article about the possibility of AOL
launching residential broadband in Australia.
11 July
2002
More CDs have arrived! Daniel has sent in 3 (three) CDs! Further
Daniel also donated $2 for postage of the CDs to the US.
22 May 2002
I did a write up on Sydney
Indymedia. The free publicity stunt wasnt very successful, bringing
< 10 hits. I tried to implement some HTML but missing one beginning
html closing tags made everything italic.
